Workflows Are Here—Let’s Get You Set Up Right

Set it. Route it. Approve it. All inside NeoPeople.

Your approval process just got a major upgrade.
With NeoPeople’s new Workflow feature, you can now control how forms move through your organization—from submission to final approval—with just a few quick setup steps.

But here’s the catch:
If the workflow isn’t activated and configured, your managers and approvers won’t be able to take action on requests.

Let’s walk you through how to get it right from the start.

But first, if you’re new, catch up now.

🔧 Step 1: Activate the Form

Before anything flows, you need to turn the tap on.
Go to: HR Admin App > Settings > Form Flow Activations

✔ Select the Forms you want to have a Workflow
✔ Select the Action Button
✔ Click Activate
✔ Confirm your Changes

This tells the system: “These forms must follow an approval path.”

🔁 Step 2: Build the Approval Workflow

Decide how the form moves. Who sees it first? Who approves last?
Go to:  Settings > Forms Workflow > Add a Form Flow

✔ Choose the form
✔ Set the final approver first (e.g., HR, Finance, Manager).
✔ Add the sequence of approvals—e.g., Supervisor → Manager → HR

Customize the flow to reflect your actual team structure.

🎥 Watch how to create an approval flow here.
The sequence will be: Manager → HR Admin → Finance.

🧑‍💼 Step 3: Assign Your Approvers

Assigning specific people to each role (like Manager or HR) tells the system exactly who should receive and approve the forms.

Go to:  Settings > Forms Approvers

✔ Choose the role (e.g., Supervisor, HR)
✔ Select the Department
✔ Assign the specific Team Member(s) responsible for Approvals

🚨 Why This Matters

Still thinking it's optional? Here’s what happens if you skip setup:

  • Managers won’t be able to approve or reject requests

  • Forms may sit unprocessed

  • Team members won’t get timely responses

  • HR gets stuck answering “Why can’t I approve this?”—again and again.

Let’s avoid that.
